The Settimana Internazionale di Coppi e Bartali 2025 winner Koen Bouwman has announced his departure from Team Visma. From turning into a pro to his long career, he was an important part of the team. He will race for the last time with his current team next Tuesday.
It had been an amazing journey for Koen Bouwman with the team. He won two stages and the mountains classification in the Giro d’Italia in 2022. in 2015, the cyclist joined the team and turned pro in 2016. Bouwman said,
“It was a truly fantastic time. Over the past ten years, I’ve had the privilege of working with amazing people from whom I’ve learned a lot, which has helped me grow tremendously as a person.”
Last September, he crashed at the Bemer Cyclassics. But, Bouwman has recovered, and training to give his best in the last race.

“Within this team, I can fulfill my dreams and own ambitions which I still strongly have,”
Jayco-AlUla also signed Ben O’Connor from Decathlon-AG2R. With these two on their side, Jayco-AlUla will look forward to success. Koen Bouwman is well famous for his mountain riding skills. In Jayco-AlUla, he will be able to achieve more success. Jayco-AlUla general manager Brent Copeland said,
“Koen is a great addition for us, He will be a strong domestique for GC riders like Ben O’Connor and we know he has the experience, after working with GC riders at Team Visma.
Time will tell if this decision from Bouwman was worth it or not. But, let’s see him for the last time in yellow and black in China this week.
