The new edition of the Ocean Lava is coming to Lanzarote coast of Puerto del Carmen. The Ocean Lava Lanzarote will be a triathlon event. This is the second event organized by Ocean Lava this year. When is Ocean Lava Lanzarote 2024?
The organization has revealed the race date, the Ocean Lava Lanzarote 2024, which will be held on Saturday, October 26.
Where will the event take place?
The event will take place on the beautiful island of Lanzarote. The sprint and the bike race will be held on different routes of the island, while the swimming competition will take place on the coast of Puerto del Carmen.
What are the Categories?
There will be four categories in the event, They are:
Supersprint:
For the super sprint event, the swimmers will need to complete 400 meters, the bikers will race for 11 km, and the sprint race is 2.5 km.
Olympic
The Olympic racing event will follow the official rule of the Olympic Triathlon. This means, the swimming is 1500 meters, the Bike race is 40 km, and the sprint race is 10 km
Olympic Relay
The Olympic relay will follow the same rule as the Olympic Category
Middle Distance:
The middle distance is the hardest category, as the swimming is 1900 meters, the bike race is 90 km, and the sprint race is 20 km.
